CEMENT AND DRILLING FLUID COORDINAT Job Details

Planning and coordination:

Develop detailed plans for cementing and drilling fluid operations.
Coordinate with drilling engineers, rig personnel, and third-party service providers to ensure seamless operations.
Schedule and oversee the delivery and storage of cement and drilling fluid materials.
Formulation and Testing:

Design and optimize cement slurry and drilling fluid formulations to meet specific well requirements.
Conduct laboratory tests to ensure the quality and performance of cement and drilling fluids.
Adjust formulations based on test results and well conditions.

Quality Control:

Monitor and maintain quality standards for cement and drilling fluids.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Perform on-site inspections and quality checks during cementing and drilling fluid operations.

Operational Support:

Provide technical support and guidance to the drilling team during cementing and fluid operations.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise with cement or drilling fluids.
Ensure proper mixing and handling procedures are followed on-site.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain detailed records of cement and drilling fluid formulations, test results, and operational activities.
Prepare reports on cementing and drilling fluid performance for internal and external stakeholders.
Document any deviations from planned operations and the corrective actions taken.

Safety and Environmental Compliance:

Ensure all operations are conducted in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Promote safe work practices and conduct safety meetings and drills.
Monitor environmental impact and implement measures to minimize it.

Inventory Management:

Manage inventory levels of cement and drilling fluid materials.
Order and track the delivery of supplies to ensure timely availability.
Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Identify opportunities for improving cementing and drilling fluid operations.
Implement new techniques and technologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications / Experience Required

Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree:

A degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is commonly required.
a degree in geology or a similar discipline may also be acceptable.
Advanced Degrees:

A Master’s degree in a relevant field can be advantageous and may be preferred by some employers. must combine a solid educational background with practical industry experience and technical expertise. Certifications and strong soft skills enhance their ability to manage complex operations effectively. Physical fitness and adaptability are also important due to the demanding nature of the work environment. These qualifications ensure that the coordinator can contribute to safe, efficient, and successful drilling operations.
